Parental relationship

Be a parent or grandparent of a permanent resident of Canada or a Canadian citizen. It could be proved by a birth certificate.

Invitation letter

A child or grandchild who invites a parent or grandparent to Canada must sign an invitation letter of financial support that includes the following information:

         ➤ A promise of financial support for the length of visit

         ➤ Family size in Canada, the list and number of people in the household of an invitee.

         ➤ Proof of status in Canada, a copy of a Canadian passport or permanent resident card.

Medical insurance

Medical insurance must be:

         ➤ Issued by a Canadian insurance company.

         ➤ Valid for at least 1 year from the date of parents’ entry to Canada.

         ➤ At least for CAD$100,000 coverage.

         ➤ Paid.

During a Super  Visa Canada processing, an immigration officer considers a number of other things before making a decision. Visa officer will look at parents’ ties to a home country and overall economic and political stability of a home country, as well as genuineness of visit and likelihood of leaving Canada by end of authorized stay.
